Our house should feel very special today. We bought her all new WINDOWS and they're being installed RIGHT NOW!!! They cost a pretty penny, so I hope she looks good.

He's Just Not That Into You, seriously

OMG, last weekend I saw the movie (finally) He's Just Not That Into You. I saw it by myself, which I love to do. It was awesome, and I found it to be very realistic. It was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
The cast could not have been better-what could be more fun than staring at beautiful, thin people for an hour and a half while eating buttery popcorn?

Sweet boy.

I developed a crush on this one during the movie...just wait until you see it, you will too.

Jennifer Connelly=gorgeous.

Ben Affleck was actually good. It was weird.
Scarlett Johansson's hair was really pretty. I like her.

You need to go see this right away. You should also warn your significant other that you will probably feel like he is just not that into you when you get out. oops. This will pass.

That Clever Girl, Jaimee Rose

Look what she wrote in her blog today:

Recession Expression
I'm writing a story right now about the recession. (Really hating that term these days.) To wit, words that rhyme with recession:

depression
compression
repression
question

I am feeling all of those things, because I enjoy these other things so much more:
possession
(handbag) obsession
(zero) discretion
(secure) profession

Hilarious

I just came across this pic from Kendra's wedding in the archives, found it funny, wanted to share. Look how cute everyone looks, and look at me just trying to keep myself together. haha.

Ready to Run

Oh the joys of winter treadmill running...
-racing with your treadmill neighbor
-the mind games one must play with oneself in order to not quit after 5 minutes
-endless hours spent downloading music and organizing your itunes library to create an inspiring workout mix
-fighting for a treadmill at the gym (Jan and Feb only)
-feeling the judgement from the stationary bikers behind the treadmills (sorry about the jiggles, at least I'm at the gym)

When I'm on the treadmill all winter, I like to dream about running outside. It's warm and sunny, a 10 minute mile does not feel like a sprint, and it will whip you into shape in no time.

Here are the races I'm looking forward to this spring!

This is a fun little 5 miler on April 27th (gasp, that's early).
5k, downtown course, very hilly, for the homeless, finish by running around the warning track in Coors Field, free pizza

A few comments about this picture: sorry about my face, my feet do not look like I was running, but I swear I was-I DO NOT walk during races (old cross country rule), I need a tan, that one leg looks pretty good.
This was at the Bolder Boulder in 2007. BB is a 10k on Memorial Day, nice course, great bands along the way, sometimes the weather is chilly.
Who's with me?

Addiction

I need to confess that I'm addicted to edamame. I have been eating at least one pack a day for the last week. The good news is it's a healthy snack. The bad news is the sea salt I dump on top, and the soy sauce I dip it in. The other bad news is that once I'm down to just the shells, sometimes I dip them in the soy sauce and lick it off. It's so good.
